Different techniques are available to maintain and preserve the volume around prosthetic tooth replacement. This course reviews different treatment modalities to preserve bone volume and esthetics. Discussion will include atraumatic extraction, socket classification and management, as well as when to extract partially, when to graft and when to place an implant immediately. A hands-on component after didactic lecture will follow to demonstrate and practice atraumatic extraction techniques and mentioned modalities of socket preservation.
